Here we are once again, and it’s time for a cuppa at the Virtual Tea Party hosted by Su Leslie over at Zimmerbitch. Wow, where does the time go?
This month I’m going for quick and easy, which admittedly is what I do most days. Even after running my business from home for approximately five years now, I still struggle to make time for a nice relaxing tea break.
In fact, my go-to tea lately is probably considered sacrilege to most tea drinkers. I discovered I could buy Tim Hortons steeped tea in Keurig pods, and I love them for a quick tea on the run.
As you can see, I love a big mug of tea. China cups are pretty but not practical most of the time.
With my tea, I have a new fav snack; olive breadsticks. These snacks have a satisfying, flaky crunch straight out of the box, but you can also warm them up.
They have a light buttery taste with a just-right tang of olives. Delicious.
I apologize again for bringing a store-bought treat, but I’m expecting to do some holiday baking this year, so hopefully, I’ll have some homemade goodies to show you soon.
As for what I’ve been up to lately. I have cut back a lot on my marketing business to destress and work on some other projects. My main focus has been getting back to writing a book, which has had mixed results.
I keep rewriting the same parts instead of just pushing ahead and getting new stuff down. Long-form writing has never been my thing, so a whole book is very intimidating. Nevertheless, I am persevering.
I’ve also been doing a massive amount of sorting and clearing out around the house. It’s truly unbelievable how much crap our family has managed to stuff into every corner, but I’m actually finding that this purge to be very therapeutic.
So, what’s new in your part of the world? Leave me a comment; I’d love to come and visit you at your blog for a cuppa.
Feel free to visit my last Virtual Tea Party contribution and read the suggested guidelines.
Nice looking breadsticks π π Sounds like you have a busy life.
Thank you. My life probably isn’t any busier than most people’s it just feels like it! lol
I hear you on the clutter. We’ve been in our house for 20 years and I keep walking into rooms we hardly use and finding things I didn’t know we had π I keep threatening to de-clutter (again), but frankly it’s daunting.
I also understand re-writing existing text when you know you need to work on new material. Conquering the blank page is one of the most difficult things I know of. I haven’t written anything longer than an article for years, and even then only either academic work or technical manuals/reports. What’s your book about?
Ahhh, the topic is a secret. For now anyway, until I feel a bit more confident about it. Iβm glad to hear Iβm not alone with my clutter or facing a blank page. Thanks again Su π
Thanks Su π
