My friend Su Leslie hosts a monthly virtual tea party, which I think is a lovely idea. Unfortunately, I keep messing up the date and end up too late to join in politely.
But, this month, I made it on time thanks to sticking reminders all over the place!
Here, briefly, is a synopsis of the theme;
The invitation
I’d love to hear from you. What are you doing/reading/making? Your thoughts on the food, the drinks, and whatever I’m rambling about. What’s making you happy or pissing you off? Your comments make blogging so much more interesting.
And if you’d like to contribute a post of your own — even better. Maybe a shot of your cuppa and/or whatever you’re having with it. A recipe if you like.
I’ll update each of my posts with a ping-back to everyone’s in the same way as I do with The Changing Seasons.
#virtualteaparty2020 for anyone on Instagram who wants to post images (or video?)
Sadly, unlike Su, with her inspirational and delicious looking cooking skills, I’m a dolt in the kitchen. Therefore my contribution includes store-bought items.
Plus, my photography skills are a work in progress.
My apologies.
Nevertheless, I’m bringing some very yummy lemon ginger tea with raisin and black currant biscuits.
Next month hopefully, I’ll be even more organized so that I can add to the conversation too with some updates about what’s happening in my corner of the world.
If you would like to join and find out more, please visit Su on her blog, Zimmerbitch.
Welcome Amanda! So nice to meet you!
Those are delicious looking cookies – you said raisins & blackcurrants …. what are those black & white pips I spy? Sesame seeds?
Thank you so much 😊
To be honest, because they were store bought, I’m not sure what the pips are. I threw out the box before checking! But, I think you’re right they’re sesame seeds. Either way they are very yummy whatever they are.
I’m wondering if my earlier comment has disappeared into the ether. Thanks for joining the tea party Amanda; great to have your company (and those delicious cookies!)
No, sorry it’s here. Maybe it looked like it disappeared because all my comments go into moderation.
Because I’m self hosted and hooked up to work dot com via jetpack sometimes things aren’t as seamless as they could be.
I am so glad you could join us Amanda. This project started before Covid upended our lives, and I had no idea if it would take off. I’m really happy that it has; I love especially reading the interactions between other bloggers.
It’s not about the food — so never apologise for store-bought! I love to cook and use this as a way of processing my thoughts about dishes I’m making. That’s my gig, and I don’t expect anyone else to feel it has to be theirs.
Okay great. Thanks for the reassurance.
