instagram photoart flowers by surprising lives

PhotoArt on Instagram is super hot these days, filling our feeds with beauty. So you may wonder what it is exactly.

Generally, although not exclusively, PhotoArt is enhanced photography. And most times this type of photography is enhanced and edited by Adobe’s Photoshop.

Some photographers and photography enthusiasts believe that true photography shouldn’t include photographs that are manipulated or edited.

But, I think there’s room for all kinds of photography.

Of course, nothing beats a breathtaking shot of nature, a landscape, or even a portrait.

But, who isn’t moved by some of the stunning PhotoArt being created and shown on Instagram these days.

Personally, I appreciate all forms of photography, and I think that they’re all art in their own way.

If you’re interested in creating PhotoArt like the ones above but don’t have Photoshop or the skills to use it, don’t worry. You can also edit and enhance photographs and get some stunning results with some of the following apps.

The following photo editing apps are ones that I have personally tried and if I can use them, you can too.

  • PicMonkey
  • Bazaart
  • Photoshop Express
  • Photo Lab
  • VSCO

After trial and error, okay, a lot of error, I’m currently using, PicMonkey and Bazaart. But admittedly my editing skills are not anywhere as clever as those needed to create the pics above. Not yet, anyway.

let me know in the comments if you have a favourite editing app.

Thank you to dpf_photoart on Instagram for the above PhotoArt images.

    Lovely images Amanda.

I think photo purists kind of miss the poin —t that all photography is edited, from the moment you look through the viewfinder and choose what to shoot, and how to frame it.

Editing and enhancement are a problem when an edited image is passed off as reality — as has so often been the case with advertising shots of women.

These images are works of great skill and imagination, and should be enjoyed as such. Thanks for sharing them.
