After helping people for approximately 20 years, and working through my own personal traumas, I’ve realized that survival and thriving often come down to three things in life.
The three things are; Acceptance, purpose, and dreams.
But unfortunately, there is a lot of bad incorrect advice out there, not only online, but also from so-called life coaches and other “helpers..” And much of this bad advice and the resulting well-known quotes don’t help or work.
It seems that some of the most popular bits of “wisdom” becomes popular simply because people want to believe it, regardless of whether it actually works.
So, I wrote the following quotes about the things I know have helped many people, especially when they are experiencing tough situations.
These practises do work and by practising them regularly they will help you too.
1. Acceptance;
Practise acceptance.
Do it everyday and in every way you can.
Acceptance will free you, allow you to move on, and live your life in the best way you NEED.
For YOU.

Acceptance can be a difficult mindset to adopt for many people; they get hung up on always looking for and focusing on ‘why.’ And then by always focusing on ‘why’ many people fall into the belief that they can change past even future events.
But as much as we want or try to we can never change the past and rarely the future. In reality, we can at best only have minimal impact on the future.
Because of these realities practising acceptance lifts a huge burden from our already stressed shoulders and allows us to focus on making the most of today.
2. Have a purpose;
Have a purpose, any purpose.
A purpose that belongs to you, not anyone else.
Something that gets you out of bed in the morning and keeps you going each day.
Because that purpose may be the one thing that protects you through the bad times.
Like a seat belt for life.

3. Have a dream;
Have a dream, any dream.
Something to hang on to, that soothes your soul, and mends your heart.
And hang onto that dream no matter what.
Because one day it may save your life – literally.

I hope the above points-quotes resonate with you.
Having a purpose and a dream are essential. When you have both, happiness follows you everywhere you go. 🙂
Indeed they do. Thanks for dropping by. 🙂
